Closed Cell Insulation

Closed cell Spray Foam Insulation is made up of cells that are, as the name suggests, completely closed, filled with an inert gas. The cells are pressed so close together, air and moisture are unable to get inside the foam; making it a vapor barrier,  closed cell foam is more rigid giving structural strength and stability. Not so with open cell foam.

Open Cell Foam Insulation

Open cell Foam insulation  is full of cells that aren’t completely encapsulated. In other words, the cells are deliberately left open. This makes the foam a softer, more flexible  material. Great for sound control and Insulation  after after you got the Closed cell foam thick enough first.
